Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies is seeking a Senior Penetration Tester to support a government customer onsite in Denver, Colorado. An active Top Secret/SCI with CI poly is required; OSCP certification is highly recommended.

The role involves leading penetration tests, mentoring junior testers, and delivering expert guidance on security best practices while collaborating with management to strengthen security policies and defenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 7 years of pen tester experience.
• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity focusing on red teaming, penetration testing, or threat hunting.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconnaissance and vulnerability scanning per testing methodologies.
• Identify vulnerabilities, document and report findings.
• Develop scripting capabilities and understand network fundamentals and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Design and lead complex penetration tests, developing customized tools and methodologies.
• Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate expertise in network protocols, application security, social engineering, and advanced scripting.
