Job summary
Tecolote seeks a senior cost estimator to provide direct cost estimating analysis to the Department of the Navy (DON) Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Comptroller. The role supports high visibility Navy programs and senior leaders within the DON.
Responsibilities include ICE/CCE development, economic analyses, data collection, industry studies, and presenting findings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of DoD acquisition/cost estimating experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or related field required.
- 24 semester hours of quantitative coursework including calculus required.
- Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs; MDAP experience preferred.
- Life cycle cost estimation and risk/uncertainty analysis experience a plus.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Provide ICE development support and CCE development for DON MDAP milestones.
- Conduct economic studies, data collection and industry analyses for senior leaders.
- Develop and apply analytic methodologies to prepare independent cost estimates.
- Present findings to senior DON leadership and support program reviews.
