Job summary

Tecolote Research, Inc. seeks a highly motivated Cost Analyst (Mid-Senior) to support complex DoD acquisition programs with strong quantitative cost-estimating skills. The role emphasizes construction, facilities, and weapon systems cost analyses.

You will develop, validate, and analyze detailed cost estimates, collect data from government and industry sources, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to inform program decisions and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of technical cost estimating and analysis experience for DoD programs.
• Experience supporting ACAT I-level acquisition programs and program cost analysis.
• Experience with DoD weapon systems and complex projects.
• Experience collecting and normalizing data from government and industry sources.
• Familiarity with DCARC data collection, CCDRs/CSDR, CPRs.
• Knowledge of cost data sources such as DACIMS and AFTOC.
• Understanding of construction design and building systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong verbal/written communication and quantitative skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret and/or TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and validate detailed cost estimates for DoD programs.
• Collect and analyze cost, technical, and programmatic data from multiple sources.
• Develop cost-estimating methodologies, models, and tools.
• Analyze historical data using statistical and engineering approaches.
• Support cost and risk analyses for major programs.
• Apply construction knowledge to create credible estimates.
• Collaborate with government, industry, and internal teams on cost drivers and risks.
• Present findings clearly to leadership.
