Job summary

QinetiQ US in Chantilly, VA seeks a Senior Budget Analyst to support a DoD R&D office. The role emphasizes budget planning, funds execution, and PPBE-informed analysis, translating financial data into actionable insights to support leadership investment decisions and program delivery.

You will collaborate with the Business Financial Manager, monitor funding, analyze variances, and prepare documentation for the POM cycle, with a strong emphasis on program schedules and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics or a similar field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 10+ years supporting DoW operations and/or programs.
• Experience with PowerBI or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide program control and financial management for a fast-paced DoW Research & Development office.
• Support the Program Manager in budget formulation, financial execution, and resource tracking.
• Lead financial execution plans, spend plans, and budget baselines.
• Monitor contract funding status, obligations and disbursements.
• Analyze contractor cost reports and schedule performance (EVMS) to forecast estimates at completion.
• Prepare budget justification documents and inputs for the POM cycle.
• Present financial status, program health, and resource allocations to stakeholders.
