Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support a Department of War client in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on budget planning, financial execution, and integration of financial data with program milestones to provide leadership with actionable insights.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance, 10+ years supporting DoD programs, and hands-on experience with funding analysis using PowerBI and MS Project. This position offers challenging projects in a fast-paced DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics or similar field.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance; #qinetiqclearedjob
• 10+ years supporting DoW operations and/or programs
• Skills in PowerBI and/or MS Project (tracking, analyzing, projecting, and visualizing funding/execution)

Responsibilities

• Provide program control and financial management to support a fast-paced DoW R&D office.
• Support the Program Manager in budget formulation, financial execution, and resource tracking.
• Lead program control activities, develop and manage financial execution plans and budgets.
• Monitor contract funding status, obligations, disbursements, and perform variance analysis.
• Analyze contractor cost reports and scheduling metrics to assess program health and forecasts.
• Develop budget justification documents and funding execution inputs for POM cycle.
• Participate in reviews and coordinate with technical review boards on program impact.
