Job summary

Bowman and Brooke LLP is a national product liability boutique with 200+ lawyers. The Docketing Manager will oversee the firm’s docketing operations, serve as system administrator for CompuLaw Vision and Milana, and ensure deadlines are accurately calculated and tracked across multiple offices in a hybrid, CA‑focused environment.

The role requires CA rules proficiency, leadership of two docketing specialists, and collaboration with attorneys, paralegals, and IT to integrate docketing with DMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education preferred.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible docketing experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or legal services organization.
• Experience supervising docketing personnel and providing training in a distributed or multi-office environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with CompuLaw Vision and/or Milana docketing software and system configuration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the docketing department across active matters.
• Serve as the primary administrator for CompuLaw Vision and Milana docketing platforms.
• Calculate and verify litigation deadlines per federal, state, and local rules.
• Directly supervise two docketing specialists.
• Develop and enforce quality control procedures.
