Job summary

Orion is seeking a Dive Superintendent to oversee and coordinate diving projects, ensuring safety, compliance and timely completion on site in Tampa. The role requires leadership to guide Divers and Dive Tenders and to work with Project Managers and Diving Supervisor for safe operations.

The incumbent must have 10+ years of diving and marine operations experience, with proven supervision skills, and strong planning, logistics and regulatory knowledge to oversee underwater projects to completion.

Qualifications

• A minimum of ten (10) years diving and marine operations experience required.
• Proof of successful completion of dive training from a certified dive school.
• Prior experience supervising or managing dive operations is essential.
• Strong planning, procurement, mobilization, logistics, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and safely execute dive projects in which the Company has been awarded.
• Provide operational guidance on safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop operational plans for new dive projects awarded to Orion.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Diving Supervisor to ensure safe operations and compliance.
• Arrange procurement of materials and services for current projects.
• Coordinate loading/unloading of materials onto dive boats or barges.
• Interprete project plans for dive team members.
• Ensure safe surface locations and proper equipment readiness.
• Ensure equipment inspection and testing meet required standards.
• Coordinate diving operations with Project Manager, Engineer or customer representative.
• Prepare an Emergency Plan on site with recompression facility details.
• Coordinate training for Divers and Dive Tenders on safety procedures and CPR.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental initiatives and maintain confidentiality.
