Job summary

General Dynamics - IT seeks a Senior Distribution Systems Engineer to modernize network design and support multiple Air Force and Space Force bases globally. The role involves traveling 75–100% with on-site execution at bases in Alaska and remote work capabilities.

You will lead implementation teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with government POCs and vendors. The position requires a BA/BS in DS Engineering and 5+ years of DS engineering experience, plus an active DOW Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in DS Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of DS engineering experience, preferably in IT upgrade projects.
• Active DOW Secret Level Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• This role provides solutions and guidance to field engineers.
• Lead small implementation teams for site locations.
• Coordinate design, installation, and base access with government POCs.
• Perform end-to-end testing of fiber optic networks and document results.
• Mentor colleagues and ensure quality of project deliverables.
