Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Distribution Systems Engineer to modernize network design and implementation for Air Force and Space Force bases worldwide. The role is on-site at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, requiring daily Honolulu-area presence and the ability to coordinate with government POCs for project tasks.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 5+ years of DS Engineering experience, ideally on IT upgrade projects
• Active Secret Level Clearance required
• Experience supporting DoD or government IT/network upgrade programs

Responsibilities

• Lead design, installation, testing and sustainment of wired network components.
• Guide less experienced engineers and provide technical mentorship.
• Coordinate with Government Points of Contact to ensure on-time task completion.
• Perform end-to-end testing using OTDR, power meters and related tools.
• Develop technical project plans, proposals and task orders for assigned work.
