Job summary

K&A Power Group in Cary, NC is seeking a Distribution Senior Engineer to lead design and planning for medium voltage power systems. You will review drawings, provide technical oversight, and ensure schedules align with client priorities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with several years in distribution design and experience with relevant software, plus occasional travel to project sites across the U.S. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with 3 years of electrical engineering experience in distribution design and quality control.
Experience using technical software such as Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

Perform distribution planning and design for 1kV to 35kV overhead and underground systems.
Review and prepare engineering drawings suitable for construction.
Provide technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
Review field notes and designs with stakeholders to resolve issues.
Assist with pole loading analysis and equipment sizing for residential and commercial projects.
Occasional travel to U.S. worksites to inspect designs.
