K&A Power Group in Cary, NC is seeking a Distribution Senior Engineer to lead design and planning for medium voltage power systems. You will review drawings, provide technical oversight, and ensure schedules align with client priorities.

Responsibilities

Senior Engineer – Distribution

Responsibilities

K&A Services LLC (Cary, NC) seeks a Distribution Senior Engineer to perform distribution planning and design services for medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems. Responsibilities include performing scope analysis of work assignments and maintaining schedule adherence to align with client priorities. Reviewing and/or preparing engineering‑quality drawings suitable for construction. Providing technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision. Reviewing the quality and accuracy of field notes and designs and working with stakeholders to resolve issues identified. Assisting with pole loading analysis calculations and equipment sizing for residential and commercial projects. Occasional travel to various worksites in the U.S. to perform site visits to inspect, measure and verify designs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and three (3) years of electrical engineering experience in distribution design and quality control, as well as experience utilizing technical software such as Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and PoleForeman.

Compensation

Pay Range: $135,000

Salary range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
