Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Distribution Engineer III to design, estimate, coordinate, and inspect electric power distribution projects for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will lead Capital and O&M projects through all phases, delivering safe, cost-effective solutions that meet industry standards.

You will guide junior staff, stay current with industry trends, and serve as a technical contact for clients while ensuring compliance and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or General engineering.
• 3–5 years of progressive engineering experience.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC/NESC and distribution standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, estimate, and coordinate the construction of overhead and underground power distribution systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• Lead and manage Capital and O&M projects through all phases of development, from concept to closeout.
• Identify and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve system reliability, cost efficiency, and safety.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Guide junior engineers and technical staff, and stay current with evolving industry trends.
