Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Distribution Designer for projects in New Albany, OH. The role focuses on design for overhead and underground electric distribution from 4kV through 69kV, including quality reviews and schedule monitoring. You will mentor junior designers and support cost estimates and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution design for overhead and/or underground distribution facilities.
• Ability to perform design calculations and prepare supporting documents.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating with clients and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead and/or underground distribution facilities.
• Prepare design sketches, drawings, cost estimates, BOMs and other construction documents.
• Apply client standards and industry practices in design work.
• Perform distribution system design calculations.
• Prepare design documents for construction, including plans, profiles and equipment specs.
• Communicate with clients and engineers on system requirements.
