Xcel Energy is seeking a Distribution Designer at multiple levels to manage distribution design projects for a broad set of customers. You will act as the primary contact, balance customer needs with standards, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

The role requires problem-solving, technical design skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The position offers a hybrid work model with on-site requirements and opportunities to advance through Designer I, II, or Senior levels

Qualifications

• Assoc. Degree in drafting/design/engineering or related field.
• Experience with design/drafting, construction, or project management is valued.
• Proficiency in GIS and design software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design safe operating facilities following company standards.
• Provide distribution design project management for most design areas.
• Manage projects from initial contact through post-project analysis.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and city agencies.
