Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with distribution design and estimation in electric utilities is required
• Experience with wind loading analysis on poles and equipment preferred
• Knowledge of distribution design concepts: AC voltage generation, impedance, voltage drop, transformers
• Experience using design tools and software for plotting and modeling

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed distribution designs and cost estimates for complex projects
• Run modeling software to assess wind loading on poles and equipment
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies for planning and permitting
• Adhere to client procedures and maintain documentation
• Communicate effectively with customers, field workers and management
• Maintain records of meetings and update construction reports
