Confluent is seeking a Senior Engineer for WarpStream, a Kafka-compatible data streaming platform built on object storage. You will work across the stack, from storage engine to UI, in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

Expect to tackle scalability, transactions, multi-region clusters, and developer tools while supporting AWS, GCP, and Azure deployments. You will drive complex projects end-to-end, design and operate high-performance services, and ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend systems production.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, C/C++, Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and storage.
• Strong delivery and communication skills.
• Customer-centric mindset and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end complex technical projects independently.
• Build and operate high-performance backend services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in microservices and containers.
