Unknown Company is seeking a senior backend engineer to join the core engineering team building and scaling distributed systems for a data activation platform. You will improve systems moving large volumes of customer data with emphasis on performance, reliability, and multi-region infrastructure.

You will own projects end-to-end, design real-time and streaming data pipelines, and work directly with customers on scaling challenges.

Qualifications

• Seven-plus years of software engineering experience in distributed systems/backend.
• Experience building complex backend systems and scaling through growth.
• Experience with event collection or data streaming services, queues, Kafka, SQL databases, Kubernetes, Docker.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and optimize end-to-end data syncing pipelines for speed.
• Design real-time and streaming data systems with webhooks and queues.
• Identify bottlenecks and architect scalable, reliable solutions.
• Build and improve low-latency caching for real-time personalization.
• Develop and operate multi-region, multi-cloud infrastructure with data residency.
• Own projects from design to delivery and collaborate with customers on scaling challenges.
