Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Pentest Data Platform to drive a ground-up rearchitecture of data processing from batch to real-time streaming. You will design, build, and operate event-driven services, handling large telemetry and providing actionable findings in real time.

Working on a 100% remote team, you will optimize distributed systems and collaborate with platform and attack-engineering teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions, along with equity and competitive

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go and large-scale codebases.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL and database design.
• Experience with AWS, containers, and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Hands-on observability tooling in production (Datadog/OpenTelemetry).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate real-time event-driven services for pentest data.
• Tackle high-impact problems from design to rollout and operation.
• Convert batch analytics to streaming with fidelity.
• Solve distributed systems challenges at scale.
• Maintain high operational excellence with SLOs, instrumentation, and on-call.
• Interface with platform teams and write durable API contracts.
