S&P Global Dow Jones Indices Technology in New York City seeks a Senior Distinguished Engineer, the most senior technical individual contributor, to define technology vision and drive architecture across the full stack.

You will pilot emerging technologies beyond agentic AI, establish measurable outcomes, and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure regulatory alignment in a benchmark environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on senior software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI systems and LLM-based agents.
• Strong foundations in architecture, quality engineering, CI/CD, and platform development.
• Proven track record as a senior technical contributor shaping technical direction.
• Executive-level communication to CTOs, risk committees and senior teams.
• Ability to assess new tech, risks, and provide candid recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute technology vision and architecture strategy across the full stack.
• Pilot emerging technologies beyond agentic AI and guide investments.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Platform, Quality, and Architecture teams.
• Establish measurable outcomes and evaluation frameworks for new capabilities.
• Build technical capability through coaching and patterns while influencing adoption.
