Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer – Integrated Systems to join the Anthem Next Generation Avionics team. You will help define software requirements and integrate complex avionics subsystems for cloud-connected cockpit systems, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.

The role emphasizes leading system requirements development, architecture trade studies, verification and validation, and mentoring junior engineers, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or project leadership in Avionics, Flight Management or Flight Guidance.
• 3+ years of experience with systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience with advanced systems engineering technologies.
• Strong avionics lifecycle knowledge.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Lead system requirements development and decomposition.
• Influence architecture and design trade studies.
• Own integration of complex avionics subsystems.
• Lead verification and validation activities.
• Drive system-level issue resolution and root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior systems engineers.
