Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for the Display Products team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will design graphics controller cards, backlights and display circuitry, mentor teammates, and ensure milestones are met across development, integration and qualification stages.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing or PCB design.
• Experience using common electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs) digital multimeters (DMMs) and signal generators for circuit characterization, debugging and validation.
• Experience using computer aided design (CAD) layout software such as Siemens Expedition or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, analyze, integrate, qualify and document new electrical hardware
• Develop, test, and document changes to existing hardware designs
• Work closely with mechanical and systems engineering to ensure electrical design suitability for the application
• Participate in cross-functional team efforts in integration, pre-qualification, and qualification for products and subsystems
