Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Display Products team. You will lead as a display system architect, shaping product line architecture and collaborating with hardware and software engineers to deliver innovative display solutions for commercial and military avionics.

You will guide major projects, ensure design plans meet regulatory standards, and help drive the technology roadmap while mentoring teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years experience.
• Leadership in developing certified aerospace products and managing major technical projects.
• Architecture creation with cross-domain collaboration for pursuits.
• Knowledge of Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a display system architect building on product line foundations and aligning with customer expectations.
• Lead architecture and design of display products interfacing with internal business units to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program/product requirements.
• Demonstrate aviation-related technical expertise to influence the technology roadmap and maintain competitive edge.
