Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead display products architecture and delivery. The role focuses on cost-effective, innovative display technologies for commercial and military avionics, with opportunities to shape the strategic roadmap and collaborate across hardware and software teams.

You will drive architecture decisions, ensure compliance with engineering processes, and mentor engineers while delivering high-impact projects for a global customer base.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Leadership experience in developing certified aerospace products.
• Architecture creation with cross-domain collaboration.
• Knowledge of avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a display system architect, aligning technical approaches with customer expectations.
• Lead architecture and design of display products, interfacing with internal units to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Consistent Engineering Processes and program requirements.
• Demonstrate avionics expertise and contribute to the technology roadmap.
