Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Disaster Recovery Services Case Manager Supervisor to lead and coordinate a temporary assistance project providing long-term follow-up for disaster survivors.

Responsibilities include rapid response contact, resource referrals, development of long-term case management plans, supervision of up to seven case managers, and ensuring coordination with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in human services field and two years of related work experience with some supervisory experience.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Strong leadership style and good organizational skills; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise disaster recovery services at agency centers or in temporary housing.
• Generate and refer resources; track utilization of provided services.
• Assess needs, complete intake forms, provide financial assistance, and document casework.
• Liaise between The Salvation Army and other agencies; may present to Long Term Recovery Committee.
• Implement long-term case management plans with disaster survivors leading to elimination of needs.
• Input client data into SIMS; ensure timely and accurate data entry; may use CANs system.
• Monitor project spending and collect statistical data and reports.
• Substitute for other Disaster Recovery Services workers as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality, proper client boundaries, and Safe From Harm guidelines.
