Job summary

HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Senior Director of Community Programs to provide strategic leadership and oversight for DYCD-funded programs including COMPASS, Beacon, and Cornerstone.

The role ensures program quality, compliance, and performance while advancing youth development and family support. You will supervise Program Directors, manage budgets, monitor metrics via DYCD Connect, and build partnerships with schools and community organizations to expand resources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• At least five years of experience with children, families, and communities in after-school or summer camp programs.
• At least five years of supervisory experience, including managing Directors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Community Program Directors with weekly coaching and evaluations.
• Conduct monthly site visits to ensure DYCD/OCFS compliance and program standards.
• Lead weekly team meetings to share agency and DYCD updates; address challenges and solutions.
• Develop and deliver trainings to ensure DYCD, SACC license, and OCFS requirements are met.
• Support staffing and recruitment to maintain full programs year-round.
• Guide Directors on DYCD Workscopes and ensure high-quality, outcome-driven programs.
• Collaborate with Directors to meet DYCD performance targets (ADA, enrollment, participation).
• Foster partnerships with schools and community orgs to expand services and resources.
• Monitor program budgets and expenses to avoid deficits.
