Job summary

Grand Street Settlement in Brooklyn is hiring a part-time Compass P/T AssistantDirector for the Youth Services department. The role supports the Program Director and helps create a safe, engaging environment for youth, including light supervision, data entry, and group facilitation.

Required: Associate degree and youth development experience; Bachelor's degree preferred; DYCD Online experience is a plus. Schedule aligns with the school year, with some evenings and weekends, and summer shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in youth development and curriculum design.
• Experience teaching and curricula development.
• Experience with DYCD Online is ideal.
• Experience with youth ages 5–14 and group facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants and ensure safety across activities and trips.
• Design and implement curricula; coordinate with colleagues.
• Maintain attendance and scheduling; prepare reports.
• Enter participant data into DYCD online and manage records.
• Communicate with parents and uphold a professional standard.
