California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks a Director of University Events and Commencement to provide strategic and operational leadership for the university’s signature presidential, ceremonial, and divisional events. The role supervises the events team, manages budgets and vendor relationships, and ensures accessibility and protocol compliance for all ceremonies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience planning and producing large, complex events.
• 3 years of experience supervising professional staff.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the university events unit by overseeing presidential and divisional events and on-site delivery for high-profile occasions.
• Provide oversight of commencement for seven colleges, setting direction, schedule, budget, and features.
• Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and compliance with CSU/CSULB requirements.
• Oversee safety, risk, accessibility, and emergency planning for events.
• Collaborate with the Office of the President, Academic Affairs, and other units to ensure consistent ceremony protocols.
