Job summary

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience planning and producing large, complex events, including ceremonies or public events with audiences in the thousands.
• 3 years of experience supervising professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Presidential and signature university events: lead the annual calendar and standards; oversee events and guest communications.
• Commencement oversight: set direction, schedule, budget, and features; ensure accessible ceremonies.
• Team leadership and unit management: supervise staff and student workers; manage calendar and procedures.
• Budget, contracts, and vendor management: manage budgets, procurement, contracts, and vendor relations.
• Safety, risk, and compliance: oversee event safety, accessibility, and policy compliance.
