Job summary

Dudek is seeking an experienced Director of Transmission Engineering to lead and grow our transmission services for energy clients. Based in California or Arizona, this senior leader will oversee project delivery, build client teams, shape strategy, and expand Dudek’s presence in the energy sector.

The role requires 10–15+ years in transmission, a PE license, and a proven ability to win work through networking, proposals, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering; power-focused programs preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years in transmission systems site development and design with proven leadership.
• Strong command of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Proven client-facing experience and ability to win work.
• Experience reviewing plan & profile drawings, sag & tension charts, poles, structures, foundations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a transmission engineering team with clear KPIs.
• Oversee design from conceptual phase through completion.
• Ensure deliverables meet client expectations, codes, and standards.
• Manage client services, budgets, and scheduling.
• Drive business development and client relationships.
• Foster innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
