Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Director of Transmission Engineering to lead a regional segment of the Transmission Engineering group. The role includes supervising engineers and designers, growing the business unit, and ensuring compliance with design standards and safety codes.

You will collaborate with division leaders to expand the geographic footprint and client base. The position requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 7+ years in power transmission design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years' experience in Power Transmission design with supervisor experience.
• PE Licensure.
• Experience leading an engineering team with resource management and task delegation.
• Ability to provide clear direction on project assignments of varying complexity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong written and oral communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Transmission Line design staff and operations.
• Balance resources and forecast across clients and projects.
• Mentor and develop supervisory staff and principal engineers.
• Provide guidance for professional communication with stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and marketing opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and development of staff.
• Collaborate with Division Leadership to develop policies reflecting best practices.
• Collaborate to develop new client opportunities and capture market share.
• Work with other departments on company-wide initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and pursue new opportunities.
