Job summary

Dudek is seeking an experienced Director of Transmission Engineering to lead and grow the firm’s transmission services for energy clients. The role focuses on leadership, project oversight, and expanding Dudek’s presence in the energy sector, with opportunity for nationwide travel.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in transmission power delivery, a PE license, and a track record of building client relationships and leading teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (power-focused programs preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of site development engineering and design for transmission systems.
• Strong command of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Strong people leadership and client-facing experience.
• Preferred tools: PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, PSSE, CAD/paper/PDF markup.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a transmission engineering team.
• Ensure project delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare and review engineering design deliverables as engineer of record.
• Build and maintain client relationships and win work through networking and referrals.
• Coordinate with environmental teams and other disciplines across regions.
