Solid Biosciences, a precision genetic medicine company, is seeking a Senior Director of Discovery & Translational Development in Charlestown, MA. You will lead a team across multiple discovery and translational programs, shaping portfolio strategy and IND-enabling plans for genetic medicines.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, IND-enabling development, and strong scientific storytelling for executive governance. Onsite presence in Charlestown is expected.

Qualificações

• PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in biotech or pharmaceutical discovery/translational development.
• Demonstrated experience leading programs, teams, or major workstreams across discovery, translational development, and IND-enabling stages.
• Proven ability to lead in cross-functional, matrixed environments spanning Discovery, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Program Management, and external partners.
• Strong ability to communicate complex science clearly, succinctly, and strategically to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership judgment, organizational discipline, and ability to drive decisions in ambiguous or evolving environments.
• Experience mentoring, managing, or developing scientific leaders or senior individual contributors.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage a high-performing team of scientific leads and translational development professionals.
• Directly manage the clinical assay leadership function and integrate assay strategy into program plans.
• Foster a culture of scientific rigor, accountability, collaboration, transparency, and disciplined decision-making.
• Help build scalable processes and operating models for the growing DTD organization.
• Serve as a trusted partner to the Head of DTD in managing priorities and portfolio growth.
• Oversee translational development strategies including mechanism-of-action studies and biomarker strategy.
