Job summary

Merrick Bank, a leading FDIC-insured financial institution, seeks a Director Technology Project Manager to steer large, complex technology initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate Agile delivery, and partner with executives to align programs with regulatory requirements and business goals.

The role demands deep expertise in project management, Agile/SAFe, Jira/Confluence, and Release Train Engineering (RTE) with a track record of successful delivery in financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Finance or related field.
• 7–8 years of Project and Program Management experience leading large-scale technology initiatives.
• 2–3 years of experience in Financial Services, Banking, Credit Card Services, FinTech, or similar industries.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex enterprise technology programs.
• Extensive experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe, Jira/Confluence, Release Train Engineer (RTE), and executive stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex, high-visibility technology programs and projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and resource allocations.
• Drive delivery of strategic initiatives with significant organizational impact, ensuring alignment with objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple business units while maintaining focus on quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
