The Director Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of large-scale, complex technology initiatives within a Financial Services environment. This role will be responsible for driving strategic projects across the enterprise, managing cross-functional teams, facilitating Agile delivery practices, and ensuring successful execution of business-critical programs. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in project and program management, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, Release Train Engineering (RTE), and stakeholder management at the executive level.
Lead multiple complex, high-visibility technology programs and projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization. Develop and manage integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and resource allocations. Drive delivery of strategic initiatives with significant organizational impact, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Manage competing priorities across multiple business units while maintaining focus on quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
Serve as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Agile Program Lead for large-scale Agile initiatives. Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning and execution, dependency management, and continuous improvement activities. Monitor and report Agile delivery metrics and drive corrective actions where necessary.
Partner with senior business and technology leaders to define program objectives, success criteria, and delivery strategies. Provide executive-level communications, status reporting, and portfolio updates. Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and risk mitigation across diverse stakeholder groups. Build strong relationships across business, operations, compliance, risk, infrastructure, development, and vendor organizations.
Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and reporting structures. Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints. Ensure adherence to enterprise project management standards, SDLC requirements, audit controls, and regulatory obligations. Support internal and external audits and compliance initiatives as required.
Coordinate technology implementations involving application development, infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data management, and vendor solutions. Engage cross-functional teams consisting of architects, developers, engineers, quality assurance resources, and third-party vendors. Drive change management, implementation readiness, and adoption activities.
