Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) invites a Sr. Director, Tech Strategy to lead technology and product strategy within the EPC Tech Center. You will shape portfolio priorities, drive commercialization, and align field needs with technology initiatives.

The role requires systems-level expertise in utility-scale solar, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams. Hybrid work in Houston, with up to 30% travel and sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, EPC, engineering, product management, or related functions, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong systems-level understanding of utility-scale energy projects and the relationship between technology, engineering, and project economics.
• Proven ability to translate field needs into technology priorities and actionable initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of technology and product strategies within the Tech Strategy organization, aligned with EPC business objectives.
• Coordinate with EPC Project Management, Construction, Operations, and other teams to identify technology opportunities and translate field needs into initiatives.
• Develop portfolio analyses and prioritization recommendations based on business value, impact, feasibility, risk, and investment requirements.
• Create business cases for technology initiatives, including NPV/IRR/ROI analyses and portfolio value.
• Lead Tech Center Product Management, including strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Product R&D to establish requirements, development priorities, and deployment objectives.
