Job summary

Church’s Texas Chicken seeks a Senior Director of Technology PMO to lead the strategic direction and governance of the Technology PMO. The role combines hands-on program delivery with portfolio strategy, reporting to the SVP, Chief Technology Officer, and partnering with franchise leaders and senior executives.

As the organization’s senior PMO leader, you will mentor managers, drive planning rigor, and ensure delivery excellence across restaurant operations and enterprise back-office portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in IT, business, hospitality, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of combined restaurant business and technology experience at executive level.
• PMP certification or equivalent; Agile/Scrum certs preferred.
• Experience setting portfolio strategy and governance for large tech programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of the organization’s largest, most complex programs and projects; own scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Conduct structured alternatives analysis (build-vs-buy, options, sequencing, resourcing).
• Mentor project/program managers, including those outside direct reports, in planning, estimation, risk management, and delivery.
• Own portfolio strategy, decision rights, and risk-tolerance frameworks; set executive governance for the CTO.
• Manage executive relationships with franchise leaders and business-unit presidents; represent Technology in high-stakes forums.
• Prepare and deliver board- and executive-ready presentations on portfolio performance and risk.
• Act as final escalation point for troubled programs and projects; determine recovery strategy.
• Define and evolve enterprise PMO standards, governance, and reporting cadences across waterfall and agile environments.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Franchise, and Supply Chain leadership for alignment.
• Own vendor governance at executive level; influence contract strategy and remediation actions.
• Sponsor enterprise-wide change management and technology adoption programs.
