Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Stellarus Chief Information Officer to oversee corporate technology strategy, engineering, and operations supporting the partnership with Blue Shield of California. The Sr.

Director, Technology, Infrastructure & Stabilization will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and lead cross-functional teams delivering reliable, secure, and scalable technology services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience
• 12+ years in software engineering, technology operations and management
• 6+ years of people management experience leading engineering managers
• Proven track record owning production systems end-to-end and improving reliability
• Experience stabilizing and modernizing legacy systems in production environments
• Strong cloud-native, CI/CD, observability, security and reliability practices
• Experience leading cross-functional execution with Product, Architecture, Security, Platform and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership across engineering delivery, platform operations, and technology services
• Lead engineering managers and senior technical leaders responsible for solution delivery and service performance
• Drive modernization, operational maturity and risk management across large-scale platforms
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security and business leaders to improve execution and outcomes
