Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools is seeking a Director of Student Health Services to lead health programs across campuses, partnering with school leaders to support student wellbeing and achievement.

You will implement strategic plans, supervise health staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with state guidance, and collaborate with external partners to provide high‑quality care. The role requires RN experience and leadership with travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with 5 years direct patient care experience.
• School Nurse experience preferred.
• Master’s Degree in a related education field preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience, including at least three years of direct people management.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Skyward and ImmTrac preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaborative departmental meetings supporting strategic initiatives and roadmaps.
• Routinely evaluate the Student Health program against annual targets.
• Apply current nursing and medical research findings to drive health care delivery improvements.
• Provide operational leadership ensuring quality programming and HIPAA-compliant practices.
• Maintain state-required reporting and update policies with state guidance.
• Coordinate state mandates (CPR/AED, immunizations) and participate in health advisory committees.
• Supervise Student Health staff and manage performance evaluations and development.
• Manage the Student Health budget and lead district staffing for health services.
• Ensure effective communication with regional superintendents, heads of schools, and campus staff.
• Travel between campuses as needed to support health teams.
