Job summary

The University of North Texas System is seeking a Senior Director, Prospect Strategy and Research in Denton. You will lead the Prospect Strategy and Research program, drive a strategic plan, provide high‑level research, pipeline analysis, and portfolio management for discovery through stewardship to boost fundraising results.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and seven years in prospect development, with strong ethics, leadership and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and seven years of prospect development and research experience in a non-profit or similar setting.
• Experience in managing teams, data analysis, and translating information.
• Knowledge of ethics standards and fundraising best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and manage team members to achieve highest level success.
• Oversee program including all aspects of the prospect management system.
• Advise leadership using research, data analysis and evidence-based insights to guide portfolio strategy.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure consistency across portfolio, research and management.
• Assign donors and prospects to team members with portfolio ownership in mind.
• Coordinate prospect assignments and reassignment with Advancement leadership.
• Serve as data/ external vendor liaison to move research forward.
• Establish prospect pipeline guidelines and workflows.
