Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Director of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Capacity Management to lead enterprise reliability, observability, and capacity initiatives. You will oversee SRE and Capacity Management teams, drive automation, define key metrics, and partner with Architecture, Security, and Finance to align technology investments with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; 10+ years in technology operations.
10+ years in Technology Operations, SRE, or related disciplines.
5+ years of leadership managing managers or engineers.
Proven experience leading enterprise reliability programs.
Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, and incident management.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams for SRE and Capacity Management.
Define strategy for reliability, observability, performance and capacity planning.
Establish SLIs/SLOs and reliability metrics enterprise-wide.
Drive automation, incident management, and post-incident reviews.
Partner with executives to drive modernization and resiliency initiatives.
