Job summary

Trident Systems is seeking a Director of Programs to lead complex space electronics programs from development through production. You will own performance across cost, schedule, and risk, interfacing with customers as the primary point of contact.

Work closely with a Lead Systems Engineer to focus on delivery, coordination, and strategic program leadership. This hands-on role requires building structure in dynamic programs, mentoring other PMs, and ensuring alignment across engineering teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 15+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 13+ years also acceptable.
• Experience managing space or aerospace-related programs, ideally involving electronic systems or hardware development.
• Proven success managing government programs (FAR-based contracts, multiple CLINs).
• Strong background in program financials, planning, and execution.
• Working knowledge of government contract types.
• PMP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more space flight programs, ensuring successful execution.
• Drive program performance to meet cost, schedule, and risk commitments.
• Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with critical path, milestones, and resource loading.
• Manage labor and non-labor resource plans; forecast staffing needs and timing.
• Identify engineering resource needs to support program execution.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts and Finance.
• Drive subcontractor performance and accountability to meet commitments.
• Set expectations and align SEIT and broader engineering teams.
• Maintain risk and opportunity matrix with burn-down plans and mitigation strategies.
• Serve as primary customer interface and ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee program financials, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support proposals and growth opportunities.
• Mentor and develop other Program Managers within the PMO.
