Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Minneapolis seeks a senior leader to head the Northern Division Self-Performed concrete and carpentry work. You'll own strategy, P&L, and talent development for the SPW unit, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

You'll oversee the division's budgets, pursue national opportunities, lead sales and client relations, and ensure safety and quality across projects while mentoring managers and field leaders. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex, large-scale concrete and carpentry projects.
• Proven ability to lead multiple project teams with up to 10 personnel involved in projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Destini, MS Project, Building Connected).
• Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.
• 4-year degree in construction management, construction engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a collaborative and productive team culture.
• Lead strategic leadership and P&L management for SPW; develop and execute the strategic vision for SPW growth.
• Assess national opportunities for growth in key markets/sectors.
• Assume full responsibility for the division’s P&L, including budgets and profitability.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for expansion and new services.
• Implement and align team to corporate and divisional goals.
• Drive business development and client relations for SPW; expand use of self-performed services.
• Lead sales and strategy efforts for SPW; deliver convincing presentations.
• Negotiate contracts to favorable terms; manage risk.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and build raving fans of SPW capabilities.
• Oversee equipment purchases/maintenance/coordination.
• Provide direct leadership and mentorship to SPW teams; promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and refine tools and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across projects.
• Promote professional development for direct reports; build talent pipeline.
• Ensure timely resolution of warranty issues.
