You will build partnerships with government and prime contractors, craft capture strategies, and guide cross-functional teams to proposals; extensive travel is required to support capture efforts and customer engagements. This senior role drives growth in a fast-moving space market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required.
• 15+ years in BD, program management, or systems engineering within aerospace.
• In-depth knowledge of government acquisition processes and national security landscape.
• Proven track record of securing large contracts (>$20M).
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead satellite BD initiatives focused on defense applications.
• Develop capture strategies for large defense or civil space contracts.
• Engage with key customer stakeholders to align Rocket Lab solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare compelling proposals.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies.
• Grow existing opportunities and nurture customer relationships.
• Present Rocket Lab capabilities to create new satellite solutions.
• Lead or participate in proposal activities including cost and technical content.
• Represent Rocket Lab at conferences and customer meetings.
