You will engage with government and commercial customers, build long-term relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to win large contracts and grow market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline is required.
• 15+ years in business development, program management, or systems engineering in aerospace.
• Deep knowledge of government acquisition processes and contracting.
• Track record securing large contracts (> $20M) and managing strategic relationships.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead satellite-focused business development initiatives for defense applications.
• Develop capture strategies and pursue large defense or civil space contracts.
• Engage stakeholders to align Rocket Lab solutions with customer needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare proposals meeting requirements and win work.
• Monitor industry trends and competitors to refine strategies.
• Grow opportunities with existing customers and build new relationships.
