Job summary

American Clean Power Association (ACP) seeks a Senior Director, Safety, Workforce Training & Operational Performance. This senior leader will guide safety, workforce development, and O&M initiatives for clean energy facilities, working with ACP members to set priorities and advance critical programs.

The role leads committees, develops technical content, and collaborates with the Institute for Safety, Workforce and Operational Performance to drive standards and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, energy, environmental science or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in clean energy, power generation, safety, workforce training, operations and maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of safety, workforce and operational issues across wind, solar and/or energy storage.
• Experience leading technical committees and building consensus among stakeholders.
• Experience developing technical resources (white papers, training materials, etc.).
• Ability to travel as needed; travel may be required.
• Trade association or member-driven organization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ACP member committees and subgroups focused on safety, workforce training and operational performance.
• Lead technical discussions and facilitate consensus among member companies on safety and operations topics.
• Develop white papers, guidance, training materials and standards in coordination with experts.
• Oversee consultants and vendors supporting committees and initiatives.
• Provide technical oversight to ACP Standards Development Manager and certifications team.
• Stay current on industry developments and emerging issues; recommend ACP priorities.
