Job summary

Pact is a global nonprofit focused on responsible mining and sustainable communities. The Senior Director for Responsible Mining will lead program design and delivery, ensuring rigorous impact and community ownership across initiatives.

As a senior leader, you will drive fundraising and strategic partnerships, coordinating with the Chief Development Officer and Business Development teams to expand Pact’s mining portfolio, while aligning with governance and market-based solutions in a hybrid role

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 12+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including 7 years of management experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing and managing multimillion dollar portfolios of public and private-sector-funded Responsible Mining-related projects and initiatives.
• Proven fundraising and business development experience with familiarity with private sector clients, U.S. government, and other donors.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally and work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Responsible Mining team, fostering collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Provide oversight to project managers delivering public and private sector funded projects.
• Serve as the project lead for high-priority Responsible Mining projects and consultancy assignments.
• Develop and champion a 'critical minerals strategy' to drive growth and local community empowerment.
• Contribute to the wider Governance and Sustainable Markets strategy and integrated programming.
