Job summary

University of New England seeks a Senior Director of Research Integrity and Compliance to lead institutional compliance with federal, state, and sponsor requirements. The role partners with leadership to support extramural programs, research operations, and compliance initiatives.

The position requires extensive leadership in research compliance, oversight of committees, and the ability to balance regulatory requirements with enabling innovative research across ME campuses.

Qualifications

• Significant experience administering research compliance programs in higher education or academic medicine.
• Extensive knowledge of human subjects protections, animal research regulations, biosafety, and compliance.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience with policy development and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the University of New England's research integrity and compliance program.
• Oversee institutional compliance committees (IRB, IACUC, IBC, COI, RCR).
• Provide strategic guidance on regulatory matters and respond to audits and investigations.
