Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Origination in Houston to identify, structure, negotiate, and execute offtake and revenue agreements that maximize the value of its development pipeline and operating portfolio. Qualifications

10+ years of experience in energy marketing and renewable project development.
Experience sourcing revenue opportunities and structuring, reviewing, negotiating and executing complex energy revenue and offtake agreements.
Experience developing and managing customer relationships in the United States.
Strong managerial capabilities, including mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

Revenue origination and transaction execution: Identify and source offtake opportunities. Lead structuring, negotiation and execution of complex revenue agreements with internal SMEs. Develop creative solutions that reflect customer needs and manage commercial risks.
Customer relationship management: Establish and enhance relationships within the assigned region; engage with buyers and inform pricing decisions.
Regional manager: Manage and mentor 1-3 direct reports.
Operating portfolio optimization: Support asset management on revenue optimization, PPAs, and re-contracting opportunities.
Commercial strategy and cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Development, Finance, Environmental and Permitting, Asset Management, Insurance on transaction terms; guide pricing and strategy.
