Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking a Manager, Business Development to lead renewable energy project development across North America from our Houston area presence. You will coordinate permitting, land, interconnection, finance, and operations teams to advance opportunities and manage budgets.

The role requires 3–5 years in the power sector with renewable project experience, strong financial modeling skills and travel flexibility. Pattern offers a comprehensive benefits package and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, environmental studies, energy, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in the power industry with significant renewable energy project experience required.
• Experience in renewable energy development, project finance, asset management, permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, or pre-construction preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed to support project development activities and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Execute and optimize development projects across North America with disciplined tracking of risks, schedules, budgets, and progress.
• Coordinate with permitting, land, origination, meteorology, engineering, construction, and internal teams to maximize project opportunities.
• Develop and manage project development budgets, monitor financial exposure, and support investment decisions through financial model interpretation.
