Job summary

PALMS Insurance, a NextEra Energy company, seeks a seasoned Claims leader to run its three Claims Departments and drive strategic risk management across personal injury, property, and liability claims.

You will oversee budgeting, SOX compliance, and audit readiness while guiding teams, partnering with legal and finance, and reporting to senior leadership on reserve changes and exposure trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of work experience in claims or risk management.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of personnel management within the Claims Departments.
• Oversee budgeting, SOX compliance, and performance evaluations.
• Provide quarterly updates to executives on liability exposures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external insurers.
• Ensure SOX controls and reserve analyses are conducted.
• Direct litigated files with in-house Counsel.
• Support audits with documentation and reconciliations.
